The Microwave Man Cometh
The microwave man came last week. Having been told by me that it was broken he took one look at the machine and said "It's broken". Of course he had not brought any spares. I think this because he suspected that I might have lied when I called them up. A replacement bit is on order. I hope it is the right bit.

You are correct (paricularly if you add the cost of waiting around for the man to arrive).
However, since it was under warranty I did not have to pay anything (and I had number one son at home to wait for the man).
But if it had been out of the guarantee it would have been "next stop the tip..."
